Before the intricate textures and the complex settings of my current work, there was the simplicity of the sky. My journey into silversmithing began with a fascination for the celestial—the timeless silhouettes of stars and moons that have guided travelers for centuries.
The pieces in this collection were my first true exploration of sterling silver. I chose to work with open-space designs, hand-cutting the interior of each star and moon to create jewelry that felt like a sketch against the skin. This process required a level of patience that eventually became the foundation of my brand’s ethos: slow, intentional, and entirely handmade.
I no longer produce the Star & Moon Collection, but I keep these photographs close as a ‘visual compass.’ They represent the moment I realized that with a piece of silver and a steady hand, I could create a world of my own.
This collection was the starting point that allowed me to grow into the artist I am today. It was the bridge between a dream and a reality. Though these designs have been retired, their spirit—of wonder, of craftsmanship, and of reaching for something beautiful—is forged into every new piece that leaves my bench.
